Seller terms and conditions
_A plain-language description of how selling on YuriLink works. Have it reviewed against Bangladeshi consumer and e-commerce law before launch, and add an effective date and governing-law clause._
1. Eligibility and your account
You must hold a valid trade licence and be legally entitled to sell the goods you list. The identity documents you provide must be your own, or belong to a person authorised to act for the business. You are responsible for keeping your licence current: an expired one suspends new listings until it is replaced. One business, one store — duplicate stores created to evade a suspension or to inflate ratings are closed.
2. What you may sell
You may not list counterfeit goods, stolen goods, recalled products, prescription medicines, weapons, hazardous materials, live animals, tobacco, alcohol, or anything whose sale requires a licence you do not hold. You may not list an item you cannot supply, and you may not use a listing to advertise a different product, a contact number, or a sale outside YuriLink. Listings that break these rules are removed without notice and repeated breaches close the store.
3. Your listings must be accurate
You are responsible for describing products accurately, including condition, specification, contents and any limitation. Photographs must be of the item you are actually sending. The declared weight decides what the customer is charged for delivery and what YuriLink is billed by the courier, so under-declaring it is a breach, not a rounding error. Prices must be real: a struck-through comparison price must be one the item genuinely sold at.
4. Fulfilment and the two-day deadline
You must have a confirmed order packed and ready for collection within two working days of accepting it. YuriLink books the courier for every order and sends you the tracking number; the courier collects from your address and delivers to the customer. YuriLink never handles the goods itself, and you never arrange or pay a courier for an outbound order. Booking a collection for a parcel that is not packed is a failed pickup — a journey YuriLink pays for, and a mark against your store.
5. Performance standards
You are expected to have parcels ready when the courier arrives, to accept or decline orders rather than leave them to expire, to answer return requests, and to reply to customer messages. Your dashboard shows three rates measured against the deadlines you were given for each order: orders answered in time, parcels ready in time, and orders that arrived without a problem. They are shown to you and to YuriLink staff, and are not published on your shopfront. Persistent failure may suspend the store. You will be told what was missed before any action is taken, except where fraud is suspected.
6. Commission, fees and settlement
Commission is charged per item against its category rate and deducted before settlement. It is charged on the goods only — never on delivery, and never on the cash-handling fee, neither of which is your revenue. Earnings from a delivered order are held until the return window closes before becoming available to withdraw. Anything you owe YuriLink separately — paid placement today — is deducted from the transfer when a payout is paid, and is itemised on your payout invoice.
7. Returns
Returns follow the published returns policy. YuriLink accepts a return only where something is wrong with the item — it arrived damaged, the wrong item was sent, or it is materially not as described — and only within three days of delivery. A change of mind is not a returnable reason and will not reach you. Because every accepted return is one where the item was wrong, you bear the return courier and the customer's original delivery charge is refunded to them. Every claim must carry a photograph, which is the evidence the decision is made on and which you may see. YuriLink books both return journeys and recovers the cost at settlement, because a return is a dispute and the party being charged for the courier cannot also be the party who books it and reports what it cost.
8. Replacements
Where a return is accepted, the customer may choose a replacement instead of a refund. A replacement is the same product again — not a different size, colour or model — sent at your cost including both courier journeys. The choice between refund and replacement is made once, when the return is approved, and cannot be changed afterwards.
9. Customer data
You receive a customer's name, phone number and delivery address solely to fulfil their order. Using it for marketing, selling it, passing it to anyone else, or retaining it beyond what is needed is a breach of these terms and may be unlawful. You may message a customer only about an order they placed with you.
10. Intellectual property
You confirm you have the right to use every photograph, description, brand name and logo you upload. You grant YuriLink a licence to display that content on the platform, in the product feeds we supply to search and social platforms, and in advertising for the marketplace. You remain the owner of it. A rights-holder complaint may remove a listing while it is investigated.
11. Store staff
You are responsible for accounts you create for your staff and for the permissions you grant them. Anything done under those accounts is treated as done by you. Remove access promptly when somebody leaves.
12. Suspension and closure
YuriLink may suspend or close a store for fraud, repeatedly not having parcels ready for a booked collection, misrepresentation, abuse of customers, listing prohibited items, or an expired trade licence. Funds already earned on delivered orders remain payable, less anything owed. You may close your store at any time; orders already placed must still be fulfilled or refunded.
13. Changes to these terms
YuriLink may change these terms. Material changes are notified in the seller dashboard before they take effect. Continuing to sell after that date is acceptance. Orders already placed are governed by the terms in force when they were placed.
